I checked the sizing chart and ordered my regular size which is a large or extra large, in this case I ordered the large. I should have went with the XL, because the top is slightly too clingy for my taste. For reference I am 170 lbs and a 38 C around the bustline, and after 2 kids I carry a bit of extra weight in the tummy area. So if you want a looser fit, I'd agree with some of the other reviewers who said to size up. But quality and style wise, I really like the top and I'll probably wear it with high waisted jeans. Also I haven't washed it yet but when I do I'll be sure to wash in cold water and line dry.

I purchased both a Medium and a Large, and ended up keeping them both. The medium is perfect for wearing to work without looking sloppy, while the large is great to lounge around the house. I bought this to replace an old J Crew cotton "Artist" 3/4-length sleeve shirt that had started to dry rot after several years. While this is a full-sleeve shirt, and not cotton, it will suffice. The shirt does have bust darts, which for a busty woman is a god-send for not looking like a potato in clothing, but was a surprise when I put the shirt on. Overall, I'm ok with it, but may continue my search for a better replacement for my beloved shirt.

I was looking for a light weight long sleeve mariniere (French striped shirt). Reading the reviews, I wasn't sure this was what I wanted as some claimed it was too heavy a fabric; others said it didn't fit correctly. I'm glad I took a chance and ordered it. I am a size small. I don't like things that fit baggy so depending on the make and style, I sometimes take an extra small. I ordered the small and it fits exactly as a small. If you prefer things looser, you might want to try a medium but for me medium would have been too loose. My only complaint is while you can wash it in warm water (30 degrees C), you can't put it in the dryer, always inconvenient. I wanted a light weight long sleeve shirt for a cool day or evening and this was perfect.

Disclaimer: I just got the shirt today, so I haven't worn it out or washed it yet, but I did try it on.

I love it. I ordered this and a similar top from another company, but I'm 5'9" and the other wasn't long enough. This one was! It looks great on, and I'm very excited to be able to happily add it to my wardrobe. Soft, long, flattering, current and sophisticated. I already have another in my shopping cart.

I usually wear a medium, but after reading reviews, I ordered the 1X and it fits perfectly.

Great shirt. Recommend for anyone. This is a very cute shirt. Great quality. Great fit. It is a long sleeve shirt, and it would have been better if the manufacturer would'm have made the sleeves about two or 3 inches longer. Keep that in mind if you want the sleeves to hit you right below your wrist.
